ACM vs ACP: the same product

ACM (aluminum composite material) and ACP (aluminum composite panel) are two names for the same type of product: two thin aluminum sheets bonded to a core. ACM is the term more common in architecture and ACP is common in the trade, but a specification for either one is asking for the same family of panels.

What to specify

  • Panel thickness and core type
  • Finish and color, including any custom match
  • Fabrication method: routed and folded, flat, perforated or dimensional
  • Fastening and mounting system
  • Applicable building code and fire requirements for your project

Requirements differ by building and jurisdiction. We help you select panels and systems that fit the design and the applicable requirements, and we confirm details with the manufacturer and the design team.
